New Orleans Louis Armstrong Airport
Louis Armstrong International Airport planned to build a new terminal to better serve the transportation needs of air passengers to New Orleans and surrounding areas.  To guide this effort, the airport wanted to conduct a study of the local impact that repositioning the new airport terminal may have on residents, businesses and passengers.  As part of a multiagency team, Maroon Society surveyed airport passengers to measured the extent to which re-positioning the new terminal north of the current airport terminal may impact ground transportation.  Airport passenger surveys and origin information helped us demonstrate to the New Orleans Aviation Board, that building the new terminal would not adversely impact ground transportation to the Airport.  This building effort is projected to have $1.7 billion in economic impact for construction, create 13,000 new construction jobs, and have an annual impact of $3.2 billion toward tourism.
